2. What information we collect
We collect information in three ways.
Information you give us
- Your name and email address when you sign up for a guide, newsletter or other free resource
- Your name, business name, phone number and message when you send an enquiry or book a call
- Details you share as a client, such as your brand information, logo, photos, voice recordings and business contact details
- Billing details such as your business address. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, and we do not see or store your full card number.
Information collected when you use our website
- Pages you visit, how you arrived (for example from a QR code or a Facebook post), your device type, browser and approximate location from your IP address
- Whether you open our emails or click links in them
Information from others
- Referral partners, such as MinuteLaunch, may tell us that someone we referred has joined, so that we can track commission.
3. How we use your information
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for each use of your information. Ours are shown below.
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Send you a guide or resource you asked for | Consent |
| Send you marketing emails and follow-ups | Consent (you can withdraw it at any time) |
| Reply to your enquiry or book a call | Legitimate interests (responding to you) |
| Deliver the services you buy from us | Contract |
| Send invoices and keep financial records | Legal obligation |
| Measure and improve our website and campaigns | Legitimate interests (understanding how our website is used, without cookies) |
| Track referrals and affiliate commission | Legitimate interests (running our business) |
We do not sell your information, and we do not make decisions about you using automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails if you have ticked the box to agree, or if you are an existing client and the emails are about similar services. If you are an existing client, you can opt out at any time.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to stop them. Once you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a suppression list so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
5. Affiliate links and referrals
Some pages on our website link to partner programmes, including the MinuteLaunch Super Affiliate programme at 1wd.tv. These are referral links. If you join through one of them, we may earn a commission.
When you click a referral link, you leave our website. From that point, the partner’s own privacy policy applies to any information you give them. Please read their policy before you share your details.
6. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We keep them to a minimum.
- Essential cookies keep the website working and secure. They do not need your consent.
- Analytics: we use MinuteLaunch Analytics, which runs on our own website and counts visits without using cookies. The data stays in our own database and is not shared with Google or other analytics companies.
You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.
7. Who we share your information with
We share your information only with trusted suppliers who help us run our business. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
| Supplier type | Why | Provider |
|---|---|---|
| CRM and email platform | Store contacts and send emails | FluentCRM, on our own website |
| Website hosting | Run cblaunchsuite.com | MinuteLaunch (managed WordPress hosting) |
| Analytics | Measure website visits | MinuteLaunch Analytics (privacy-first website analytics) |
| Payments | Take payments securely | Stripe |
| Accountant | Keep financial records | T&W Accounts Ltd |
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
8. Information we handle for our clients
When we run marketing for a client, we may handle their customers’ details, such as the contacts in their CRM or email list. In that case, the client is the data controller and we act as their data processor.
We process that information only on the client’s instructions and under a written data processing agreement. The client’s customer data stays in the client’s own CRM. We do not use it for our own marketing.
If you are a customer of one of our clients, please contact that business about your information.
9. Transfers outside the UK
Some of our suppliers store information outside the UK, for example in the United States. When this happens, we make sure it is protected by UK-approved safeguards. These include the UK–US Data Bridge, or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
10. How long we keep your information
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Email subscribers and leads | Until you unsubscribe, or 2 years after you last opened an email or contacted us |
| Enquiries that don’t lead to work | 12 months |
| Client records and contracts | 6 years after our work ends |
| Invoices and financial records | 6 years, as required by HMRC |
| Unsubscribe (suppression) list | For as long as we send marketing emails |
After these periods, we delete your information or make it anonymous.
11. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your information
- Ask us to limit how we use your information
- Object to us using your information, including for marketing
- Ask us to send your information to another organisation
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email cblaunchsuite@gmail.com. There is usually no charge. We will reply within one month.
12. Security, complaints and changes
Security. We protect your information using secure, access-controlled systems, strong passwords and two-factor sign-in. Only people who need your information can access it.
Complaints. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so that we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make an important change, we will tell subscribers by email.
